Although Halloween isn’t the kind of celebration that demands an elaborate culinary festivity. No one stops to think, “Halloween’s next month! I better start planning dishes” it’s Halloween, not Thanks-giving. Nonetheless, it is absurd to plan a Halloween party without Halloween food. Who organizes a party or holds celebrations without making food plans? Never heard of it.
Here are three dishes you can consider for your dinner table:
Pumpkin pie – Traditional food

The pumpkin pie is a traditional homemade Halloween food common amongst people in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The pie is a spiced dessert filled with pumpkin-based custard. The recipes are; pumpkin puree, evaporated milk and eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, and brown sugar.
How to prepare:
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Mix flour and salt to prepare the pie crust. Add tablespoons of water while mixing until the dough is moist enough to retain water.
- With your hands lightly floured, shape the dough into a ball and roll it out to a 1/8 thickness on a lightly floured board.
- With a sharp knife, cut the dough 11/2 inch larger than the upside-down 8 to 9 inches pie pan.
- Roll the dough around the rolling pin gently and move it to the top-right side of the pie pan. Then unroll, freeing the dough to the bottom side of the pan.
- Whisk eggs, evaporated milk, pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt all in a big bowl. Then pour the mixture into the prepared crust.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, and your pumpkin pie is ready to be served.
The Eyes of Old Dead Joe – Scary Food

This Halloween food is prepared to look as scary as it sounds.
The recipes are; eggs, whipped cream, green olives (for the eyes), toothpicks, and ketchup.
Preparation method:
- Boil eggs till they’re very hard, cut them in half, and remove the yolks.
- Fill the empty eggs with whipped cream.
- Dress olive over the center
- Apply the ketchup as a blood mesh in front of the eyes
Reese’s Bats – Sweet Halloween Food

The Reese’s bats Halloween meal tastes amazingly sweeter than it looks.
The bats are super easy to prepare once you have the following ingredients; 20 candy eyes, one tablespoon of peanut butter, 5 Oreos, and ten mini Reese’s cups
Prepare by:
- Cut every Oreo cookie in half and remove gently the cream in the middle.
- Break every half cookie into equal halves to make the bat’s wings.
- With a teaspoon, add a little dab of peanut butter to one end of each Oreo, then press onto the Reese’s cup to form wings.
- For the final touch, add some peanut butter to the back of the two candy eyes and on the top of the edge of the wings; after this, your bats are ready to be eaten alive.
As important as it is to fill up your stomach during the celebration, you can also have fun with food pranks.
